Exhausted, but in a good mood...
Had a great weekend with some great people.  Got to fence a knight - his first day fencing... and some clever marshal put a schlager in his hand.  Ouch.  I think he cracked a rib of mine with one hit... but fighting a knight, in fact the one who took second place at the last Crown Tourney... and given the fact he was about 7 feet tall, strongly built, and with disproportionately long arms, was a fun experience.  The King of the East got a fencing lesson, too, wearing my spare armor.  He was kind og clumsy... till I put a dagger in his off hand, then it was like a fish to water.  It's easy to see how he won the Crown Tourney.  I also got to begin my training for becoming a marshal.  Quentin got me started right away by having me inspect his armor and weapons then I observed Baron Bil's schlager qual (Caitlin Longstrider and Nataliia) and Nataliia had me basically marshal most of the bouts in the Baronial Championship along with the other MIT and Jocelyn watching over us.  Even though I barely faught, it was a very productive day.  It was great to camp not only with h_strangewayes  but also with others from House Stormgard.

So soon I will collapse on my bed and try to recover from the blow to the rib.... owie.  It hurts to breathe. But it was so worth it.

EDIT: Said 7-foot knight was a Sir Arthur Watson, called Artorious, shown at Royal Court head and shoulders above the rest in this picture. In order to get a good idea of sizes - His majesty (the guy wearing the crown on the throne) is my size - he was wearing my armor....
